A new study finds Amazon’s LEO internet satellites, like SpaceX’s Starlink, interfere with astronomy. Though too dim to see with the naked eye, they exceed brightness limits set by astronomers and can disrupt observations. With about 180 satellites now, and plans for over 3,200 at lower, brighter orbits, the problem is expected to grow, adding to space congestion and raising concerns about the long-term sustainability of mega-constellations.
