Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI sued Apple and OpenAI in Texas federal court, alleging they conspired to block competition and suppress xAI products, including on the App Store. xAI claims Apple’s exclusive deal with OpenAI limits exposure for its X and Grok apps. Musk previously criticized Apple for favoring OpenAI. xAI competes with OpenAI and other AI firms, and Musk is also suing OpenAI over its shift from nonprofit to for-profit.
