The first section of the largest 3D map of the universe, featuring 14 million galaxies and millions of stars from the Milky Way, has been unveiled. This data, gathered by the Euclid mission, a collaboration between ESA and NASA, is a stunning 208-gigapixel mosaic, representing just 1% of the final map. The full map, which will take six years to complete, aims to explore dark matter and dark energy. The Euclid camera's high-resolution imagery reveals intricate details like Milky Way cirrus clouds and distant galaxies.
