France will replace Microsoft Teams and Zoom with its own video-conferencing platform, Visio, across all government departments by 2027. The move aims to boost digital sovereignty, reduce reliance on US tech firms, and improve security of public communications. Visio, part of France’s Suite Numérique, is hosted on a sovereign French cloud, includes AI features, and could save up to €1 million annually per 100,000 users.
