Gmail to let users change their addresses while keeping data

Google is rolling out a feature allowing users to change their @gmail.com addresses while keeping all emails, files, and account data intact. The old address becomes an alias, still able to receive emails, and both old and new addresses can be used to sign in. Users can change their address once every 12 months, create up to three new addresses in total, and cannot delete new addresses. The feature currently applies only to personal Gmail accounts.
