Scientists have detected mysterious radio pulses from an unknown source near the Big Dipper. For a decade, signals have arrived every two hours, now traced to a white dwarf and red dwarf orbiting closely. Their magnetic fields interact, producing long radio bursts. Previously, such signals were only linked to neutron stars, but this study suggests binary stars can also emit them. These pulses resemble fast radio bursts but last longer. The findings, published in *Nature Astronomy*, raise new questions about radio transients.
