South Korea team showcases drone that serves as 'flying shopping cart'

Researchers from Seoul National University of Science and Technology have developed a transport drone called "Palletrone," featuring flexible rotors that self-correct to maintain stability while flying. This drone acts like a "flying shopping cart," capable of carrying goods over uneven terrain, including stairs. It uses a human-robot interaction technique to anticipate user intentions for smooth navigation. While currently able to transport up to 3 kg (6.6 lbs), the team envisions broader applications, including future flying taxis and mid-air battery changes.
