Thomas Matthew Crooks, who attempted to assassinate Donald Trump on July 13, used a drone to scout the area before the rally, according to FBI Director Christopher Wray. The drone, found in Crooks's car, was flown near the rally site but wasn't used during the attack. Crooks had also googled details about JFK's assassination and might have been livestreaming drone footage. FBI is still analyzing his electronic devices for more information. The case has fueled conspiracy theories, including suggestions of FBI involvement in past events.
